Our Mission
Working in tandem with the Oakland Police Department and other public agencies, we seek to augment the safety and welfare of all those who live, work, worship, and attend school in any neighborhood mostly within the boundaries of our police beat.
Our beat
Beat 30X runs from 66th Avenue to 82nd Avenue, and from Bancroft Avenue to International Boulevard, including the Havenscourt neighborhood where the Key System “A” line once ended.
What is an NCPC?
Oakland’s Neighborhood Crime Prevention Councils (NCPCs) are resident-led groups organized around police beats. At each meeting, neighbors meet with Oakland Police and city staff to share what they’re seeing, set priorities for the neighborhood, and work on solutions together. It’s one of the most direct ways to have a say in how our blocks are looked after.
Get Involved!
We meet on Zoom on the second Thursday of the month (we take November and December off). Everyone is welcome, and you can join from your phone or computer.
